Power Swing Lab

Program Description

Power Swing Lab is an advanced baseball and softball performance program designed for serious hitters who want to increase their ability to generate bat speed, rotational power, and explosive contact.

The program combines hitting mechanics, strength and conditioning, rotational power development, and performance technology to help athletes understand how they generate power and how they can transfer that power more efficiently into the baseball or softball.

The goal isn't simply to swing harder.

The goal is to develop the athlete's ability to create, transfer, and control force throughout the entire swing.

Elite Bat Speed, Rotational Power & Swing Performance Program

Program Focus

  • Bat Speed Development

  • Exit Velocity Development

  • Rotational Power

  • Lower-Body Power

  • Hip & Shoulder Separation

  • Explosive Swing Mechanics

  • Force Production

  • Kinetic Chain Development

  • Barrel Speed

  • Contact Quality

  • Power Transfer

  • Swing Efficiency

  • Performance Technology

  • Measurable Progress

Power Starts With the Athlete

Elite swing power begins before the bat moves.

Power Swing Lab develops the physical qualities that contribute to explosive hitting:

  • Lower-body strength

  • Hip power

  • Core strength

  • Rotational strength

  • Rotational speed

  • Balance

  • Stability

  • Coordination

  • Force production

Athletes learn how the legs, hips, core, torso, and upper body work together to create an efficient transfer of energy.

Develop the Kinetic Chain

An explosive swing requires the body to work in sequence.

Power Swing Lab focuses on:

Ground Force → Legs → Hips → Torso → Shoulders → Arms → Hands → Barrel

Athletes learn how to create and transfer force through the kinetic chain while reducing unnecessary movement and energy leaks.

The objective is to produce a swing that is explosive without becoming inefficient.

Bat Speed Development

Bat speed is an important component of high-level hitting.

Training may incorporate:

  • Overload/underload bat training

  • Resistance training

  • Medicine-ball exercises

  • Rotational power drills

  • Explosive movements

  • Bat-speed challenges

  • High-intent swings

Training is designed to help athletes improve their ability to accelerate the barrel through the hitting zone while maintaining control.

Rotational Power

Power Swing Lab places significant emphasis on rotational explosiveness.

Athletes can develop:

  • Hip rotation

  • Torso rotation

  • Hip-to-shoulder separation

  • Rotational strength

  • Rotational speed

  • Core stability

  • Force transfer

Training may include medicine-ball throws, rotational exercises, resistance movements, and explosive athletic drills.

Exit Velocity Development

The ultimate goal isn't simply bat speed.

It is what the athlete can do with that speed.

Power Swing Lab™ can use technology to evaluate:

  • Exit velocity

  • Bat speed

  • Launch angle

  • Attack angle

  • Ball speed

  • Contact quality

  • Barrel efficiency

  • Spray direction

Athletes can establish performance benchmarks and track improvements over time.

Quality Power

More power doesn't mean simply swinging harder on every pitch.

Elite hitters must be able to produce power while maintaining:

  • Timing

  • Balance

  • Barrel control

  • Plate discipline

  • Adjustability

  • Efficient mechanics

Power Swing Lab works alongside programs such as Whole Field Swing Lab and Situational Hitting to help athletes develop power without sacrificing their overall hitting approach.

College & Professional Preparation

At higher levels of baseball and softball, pitchers throw harder and mistakes become more costly.

Elite hitters must be able to generate enough bat speed and power to consistently compete against advanced pitching.

Power Swing Lab helps serious athletes develop measurable performance qualities that can contribute to:

  • Greater offensive potential

  • Improved contact quality

  • Increased extra-base potential

  • More efficient swing mechanics

  • Greater physical explosiveness

  • Increased confidence at the plate

Performance data can be incorporated into the athlete's JMISS Player Advancement Profile.

Performance Testing

JMISS can establish individual baselines and periodically retest athletes in areas such as:

  • Bat speed

  • Exit velocity

  • Rotational power

  • Medicine-ball throw distance

  • Vertical jump

  • Broad jump

  • Sprint speed

  • Lower-body strength

  • Core strength

This creates a measurable development process:

TEST → TRAIN → RETEST → IMPROVE

The Power Swing Lab Advantage

The objective isn't simply to make an athlete swing harder.

It is to help athletes understand where their power comes from and how to use it efficiently.

Power Swing Lab™ helps hitters become:

  • STRONGER.

  • FASTER.

  • MORE EXPLOSIVE.

  • MORE POWERFUL.

  • MORE EFFICIENT.

  • MORE CONFIDENT.

Built for the Next Level

College and professional coaches value hitters who possess legitimate bat speed, physical strength, explosive power, and the ability to consistently produce quality contact.

Power Swing Lab gives serious athletes a structured environment to develop those qualities while using measurable performance data to document their progress.

JMISS Power Swing Lab

Create the Force. Accelerate the Barrel. Change the Game.
